Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) and PCI in CKD patients have high adverse CVS outcomes.
Zero-contrast PCI or ultra-low contrast PCI is an attractive option.
Use of high resolution IVUS guidance and learning the navigation technology using anatomical landmarks, vessel calcium, IVUS guidance is critical. Of late, live IVUS-guided PCI and saline OCT are emerging as attractive options in these challenging scenarios.
